Located in the central hills of Sri Lanka in Nuwara Eliya town, adjoining St Andrews Hotel and shadowed by "Pidurutalagala" mountain range it is few minutes away from Town centre, Golf Club and Victoria Park. Brockenhurst dates back to the early 1900s and was originally built by Philip Falk, a British surveyor. Despite almost century old existence it still retains its original charm and character. The bungalow has been recently classified as a heritage building by the Archeological Department of Sri Lanka, which provides ample testimony to its archeological and historical value.

Overlooking the golf course and the beautiful misty hills, Brockenhurst is a century old property boasting of an excellent location towards the northern end of the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya. The town is located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka which is approximately 180km away from Colombo. Nuwara Eliya can be reached by taking the Colombo - Kandy road and then the Peradeniya - Badulla main road. The train station which is closest to the town is Nanu Oya which is about 5km away. Buses are also available from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya.

Brockenhurst in Nuwara Eliya is a spacious bungalow and offers guests a number of 4 bedrooms and ensures privacy at all times since one booking is made at a time. The guestrooms are always comfortable and cozy with a number of in-room amenities to keep you warm. There is a double bedroom that overlooks an intimate garden area which is ideal for couples while the master bedroom is found on the first floor. This can be used as a family suite since the room contains 2 double beds and a single bed. The other two bedrooms are also on this floor. There are 4 bathrooms available while 2 of them are en-suite.

This fully restored century old heritage property is full of character and colonial charm. The property consists of an extensive two tiered front lawn with beautiful flower beds. The gardens are ideal for children to play around as well as for guests to enjoy sumptuous BBQ's. Flooring is all made of wood while the lounge is always a welcoming spot in the nights with a fireplace to keep away the cold. The dining room can accommodate 10 guests at a time while the chef prepares healthy meals using fresh produce of the region. Other facilities at Brockenhurst includes a DVD/CD player, LCD television, utilities such as a cooker, microwave, fridge, linen and towels, secure parking facilities and a driver's room.

Since Brockenhurst boasts of a central location within the town of Nuwara Eliya, there are a number of activities that guests can enjoy. The location is ideal for the golf enthusiast with the 18-hole golf course of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club being close by. Guests are also offered the chance of horse riding, boat rides along Lake Gregory various nature treks and bird watching expeditions. If you want to explore the surroundings more, you can take a drive along the long winding roads of Nuwara Eliya and witness magnificent waterfalls and tea covered hills.
